Perhaps you read our most recent blog on taking some much-needed vacation time. The past 18 months or so have probably felt like some of the longest of your life. That’s understandable.
Being cooped up with family, working from home and with very little to do outside of our homes, it is most certainly time for a well-deserved vacation from vaccinations, restrictions and all that talk on the news about Covid-19.
The good news is not only can thE Concierge help you plan for a holiday – we can help take care of things around the house while you’re gone!

What to Expect When You Expect To Be Away….
The mail will still arrive and chances are, if you are gone for an extended period of time it will start to build up. Mail (and newspapers) are both a dead give away that no one is home. We can pick up mail regularly and take care of any flyers and other junk mail delivered in your absence, helping to make sure your house looks lived in.
Things can happen. What kind of things? No one likes to think about windstorms, rain or hail or even worse but the unthinkable can happen and when it does it’s almost always at the worst possible time – like when you’re away. We provide a HomeCheck service that protects you in the event of an unforeseen calamity.
We will check the outside of your home for signs of property damage, break ins, that your vehicles are safe and ensure no storm damage or downed trees or roofs requiring repair have happened while you are gone. IF something happens, we can take care of sourcing the right repair people immediately to prevent further damage.
We can monitor the interior of homes as well. Winter months we monitor for frozen pipes and/or freeze/thaw damage and in the summer months we can stop in to make sure the AC is working properly, that there are no leaks and your fridge hasn’t stopped working, spoiling food on the hottest day of the year.
We water plants, maintain both indoor and outdoor gardens and/or ensure the work gets done in your absence.
We put out the garbage and recycling on the right day, we’ll check your alarms or meet the response team for you if an alarm is activated.
If you are expecting an important delivery or have a service appointment that can’t be rescheduled we will wait for parcels, sign for them or wait for repair persons and verify that the work is complete.
If you have a pool the last thing you want to come home to is green water so we can monitor pools and hot tubs too.
Your fridge can be fully stocked to take care of those first meals when you return
